(Ring of Craziness) On going to the homepage for that ring, I found that it clearly invited new submissions, but on taking the time to fill out the application, I found my time wasted. The ringmaster had closed the ring without taking the time to mention this on the ring homepage, or change the settings for his directory membership to list the ring as being closed to new members. Sort of annoying, and on checking, I found that ROC certainly wasn't the only ring on that system that was set up that way, with a homepage encouraging newcomers to submit an application that would end up going to waste. Yes, I've written to the ringmaster for ROC, and we'll see if he responds, but until then, take this as a warning about a headache one might want to avoid.
