We have noted that when the ring email address is different than

From <ringhost.email@xxxxxxxxxxx>; on behalf of
<ringowner.email@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Where it doesn't show that if they're the same.
The reason is that the message includes the ring host email address in a
"Sender:" field if it differs from the ring email address. I guess you
agree that the most appropriate address to put in the "From:" field is
the ring email address. However, since the ringmaster is not actually
submitting the message to the net, but it's automatically sent by the
system, I thought it was appropriate to also include the ring host email
address in the message.
My email client (Netscape) does not display it the way you describe, but
I only see
From <ringowner.email@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Is there any way to suppress that, other than having the emails the
same.
The way it is displayed in your email client, isn't that exactly how it
is? Why would you want to suppress it?
If you leave the address out of the config file, does that cause
other problems?
Can't say for sure (haven't tested it). If you think it's important,
it's of course possible to edit the script.
