Re: Data StorageWe know that many old Ringlink versions are in use, and extensive mods Well, I have rings with 8 Ringlink systems, and only yours is using the newest version, and when I had previously asked the other 7 why they had not upgraded to the latest version, 5 gave 'extensive mods' stuff as the explanation, and I didn't bother asking Mog, seeing that she was occupied with other stuff (WOW website)..... This also being why I haven't yet upgraded my own Ringlink System (Mostly because it is hosted at SF....) As to PHP My Ring, isn't there a English install translation in the English download for the program (should be, I did the translation)? Anyway it is not much of a webring system, lousy website, and I gave up on it and the developer who is impossible to deal with (See that system's SF forum). Just gave it as a example of a system using a MySQL database.... Basically you enter the url address for the install file, then enter your info....not unlike PostNuke. Maybe other system managers will respond here, giving the reason why they have not upgraded to the latest version of Ringlink?? I see there has been only 1 vote on the poll I setup ions ago 'Most desired new feature'? How many Ringlink members are actually members of the Ringlink website? Certainly haven't been getting much feedback corcerning the new website.... Is the new website a bust? I think you mentioned elsewhere that it needs work......?
